Septic or sewer?
Is your home on septic or city sewer?
Inside Cleveland, many homes are connected to Cleveland Utilities sewer. Outside the city limits, and in much of Polk County and rural Bradley County, homes are usually on septic. In Hamilton County, newer subdivisions around Ooltewah often have public sewer, while older and rural homes are often on septic.

Do you serve my town?
We serve Cleveland and all of Bradley County, plus nearby Ooltewah and Harrison in Hamilton County, Benton and Ocoee in Polk County, and Calhoun and the Athens area in McMinn County. If your road is near the edge of that area, call and ask.
How do I know if my home is on septic or sewer?
Check your water bill. A sewer charge usually means you are on public sewer. No sewer charge usually means you have a septic tank. Inside Cleveland, sewer is provided by Cleveland Utilities; many homes outside the city limits are on septic.
Do you charge extra for rural or out-of-the-way addresses?
Long drives or long hose runs can add a little to the price. You will hear about it when you call, before anyone heads your way.
Can your truck reach a house at the end of a long driveway?
Usually. Tell us how far the tank is from where a truck can safely park, and whether there are soft spots, low branches or a narrow bridge, so we bring enough hose.
Do you work in north Georgia?
Our focus is Southeast Tennessee around Cleveland. If you are just over the Georgia line, call and ask.
Are septic rules different in each county?
Septic systems across Tennessee are permitted through TDEC, so the core rules are the same in Bradley, Hamilton, Polk and McMinn counties. Local soil and water conditions are what really differ.
